New energy vehicles have become a new bright spot in China's auto exports. In 2024, China exported 978,000 new energy vehicles to countries along the Belt and Road, up 25 percent year on year.
In July 2024, the monthly retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles in China exceeded that of traditional fuel vehicles for the first time; In November, the annual output of new energy vehicles exceeded 10 million for the first time.
It is optimistic that the sales volume of new energy vehicles in 2025 will reach about 16.5 million (including exports), with a growth rate of nearly 30% and a penetration rate of more than 50%; Among them, the domestic market is expected to reach 15 million, with a penetration rate of more than 55%.
